Zel Allen, author The Nut Gourmet and Vegan for the Holidays

Zel is the author of two cookbooks, Vegan for the Holidays, featuring recipes for holiday celebrations from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day and The Nut Gourmet, a vegan cookbook featuring 150 unique, totally nutty recipes. She’s also the co-publisher of Vegetarians in Paradise, an online monthly vegan magazine, operating for 14-plus years. You can also find her blogging at her NutGourmet Blog http://nutgourmet.wordpress.com, a cozy niche for tons of nutty endeavors. Zel’s published articles on exotic vegan dining can be found in Vegetarian Journal and Vegan Health and Fitness Magazine. She teaches cooking classes at Glendale Community College Community Services and offers free, hands-on cooking classes at Los Angeles County Libraries.
